About Me
This is a story in progress. I'm embarking on a journey that has been a long time in the making. I have loved writing stories since I first picked up a pencil. While in elementary through high school I shared my fictional worlds with friends and relatives, I lacked the courage or discipline to really work at the craft. In my adult life, I got so busy with work that my creative endeavors were placed on the back burner where they slowly boiled down to nothing. I retired after thirty years as a legal assistant, and tried my hand at writing fiction. My first attempts were fruitless, and I feared my creative juices had dried up. But in 2021 I happened to see a flyer at the local library advertising classes in Creative Writing For Adults. I swallowed my social anxiety, jumped out of my comfort zone, and signed up. That leap led me to find that I still had a spark of imagination, and also found an amazing supportive community of creatives through Temecula Valley Writers and Illustrators. I now have two short stories published, and with the encouragement of a Critique class and TVWI am working on my first novel. At 58 years old I found my tribe and my calling. I hope my story helps some realize it's not to late to start something new and we are always growing an learning.

Other than writing, I also love dogs. I've never had children so my fur-babies are the nearest and dearest. The three on the left: AJ, Shiloh and Bailey were all from the same litter and the loves of my life for over 10 years. Sadly they are all on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

I currently reside in Temecula where I share a house with my mother and our 9 year old rescues Daisy and Wesley, on the right. Note my last name is Wesley, so yes that makes him Wesley Wesley

I am also trying to broaden my creative horizons. I've always loved crafting (crocheting, card making, and various other crafts). Now I am attending classes in watercolor painting. Check out my art work page (remember I just started out as of February 2025 - but it should be interesting to mark my progress)
